Bavarian food
The Allgäu, the whole Bavaria and the Alps are well known for their own
regional cuisine. You have many far beyond the region known meals.
Typical of the Allgäu include the Allgäuer Kässpatzen, Schupfnudeln,
liver and steam noodles. These and other specialties can be found in one
of the many guest houses in the cities and villages of the Allgäu. In
winter, of course, the ski huts in the ski areas of the Allgäu regional
cuisine and invite you to enjoy.
The four elements of the Allgäuer kitchen are water, eggs, milk and lard.
The cooks delicious example for generations to handmade noodles with
individual shapes and flavors. The absolute highlight of the Allgäuer
kitchen are Käsespätzle.
Of course, you can also eat Italian or Chinese food in the Allgäu, but
you should have tried the real home-cookes meals.
